SociaGuys launches new social event called Mingle SociaGuys successfully launched a popular new social event on 7 May called Mingle at the very stylish Townhouse in Knightsbridge. Mingle is all about meeting new guys and having fantastic conversation away from work. The evening starts at 6:30 and finishes at 11. It is free to attend if you sign-up online and £5 if you don’t. Mingle has 3 simple rules:
Rob Frost, co-founder said, “When you go out to gay bars and some social networking events people seem to instantly think you want more than a chat when you approach them. At Mingle it’s simply about meeting new people. You can comfortably go up to anyone and speak to them without the premonition that they think you want a date.” Rob Lucas, explained, “We play host, introduce people and ensure everyone is mingling. Quite a few people came to the first event by themselves and a few felt anxious about this. Some people felt that others would think they had no friends or were socially inept if they came on their own. This is so far from the truth! People came on their own for many reasons such as they just moved to London, they were in London on business or holiday, their friends were busy, etc. Much of the time it is easier to meet new people if you come on your own. Groups of friends also came along and mingled with everyone else.” Rob Frost, added, “Mingle is a great way to make new friends and escape work chat.” Michael who lives in London and attended Mingle, said, “I have been in London for over 10 years and have a large network of friends. However, I love meeting new people and sharing stories. Mingle had such a great atmosphere. I will definitely be going again.” “I go to many of the other social networking events in London and Mingle really does add something different. It is more intimate, the hosts are great and you actually get the opportunity to meet many new people.” Daniel, Londoner. “I really enjoyed myself and found the evening surpassed my expectations.” Benton, Londoner.
